Early Land Plants of the World

05/26/2009 - 05/29/2009

Biodiversity Synthesis Center, The Field Museum,  Chicago, IL, USA

Early land plants, including the liverworts and hornworts, include more than 7,000 living species. This large synthesis meeting of 35 participants collated and synthesized diverse content on the liverworts and hornworts. The group reconciled smaller phylogenies (using BioSynC-developed Phylografter) and collated bibliographies. This meeting produced large bibliographies and PDF libraries for BHL, EOL curators, species page contributions, and a LifeDesk.

It is being organized by: Matt von Konrat, The Field Museum, Lars Soderstrom, NTNU, Norway, John Engel, The Field Museum, Jon Shaw, Duke University, David Long, Royal Botanic Garden, Scottland, and Bernard Goffinet, University of Connecticut
